What is BodyCamera Shooter?

BodyCamera Shooter is a free browser first-person shooter by BORNIS GameLab where you fight through abandoned buildings and rubble seen through a chest-mounted body camera. The goal is simple: neutralize waves of enemy fighters and stay alive. The camera sits low on the torso with a fisheye effect, so the view shakes, edges distort, and peripheral vision is limited. That makes every room clear and corner peek feel tense.

This is a single-player game against computer opponents, not an online lobby. Your score can be compared on a leaderboard, but you are not fighting real players. It is also only inspired by the Steam titles Bodycam and Unrecord — you do not need Steam, a download, or a high-end PC to play this browser game.

PC and mobile controls: how to move and aim

Master movement plus aiming first, because most early deaths come from trying to shoot while standing still in the open. Practice walking, aiming, and shooting at the same time before you worry about advanced weapons.

On phones and tablets the layout adapts automatically. Use the left on-screen stick to move, drag the right side of the screen to aim, tap the fire button to shoot, and tap the scope icon to aim down sights. Play in landscape and use fullscreen when available — the fisheye view is much easier to read on a wider screen. If touch aiming feels loose, slow down, crouch more, and fight at closer range where bursts matter more than flicks.

Soldier levels, weapons, and map unlocks

You do not start with the full arsenal. Your soldier advances through six levels in a run, and each level unlocks a new weapon suited to harder waves, from close-range options to more versatile rifles and precision choices. Swap weapons for the situation instead of sticking to one gun.

There are four combat scenarios:

• Scenarios 1-2: available immediately to learn movement, cover, and waves
• Scenario 3: unlocks at soldier level 5, with a layout that feels inspired by classic Counter-Strike maps
• Scenario 4: unlocks at soldier level 10 and is the toughest final zone

Important: progress is not saved. Levels, unlocked weapons, and unlocked scenarios apply only to your current browser session. If you close the tab, refresh, or navigate away, the run resets and you start over. Treat each session as a fresh high-score run: push as far as you can, learn spawn points and routes, and expect to re-earn weapons next time. Your map knowledge stays with you even when unlocks do not.

How to survive waves with a bodycam view

The chest camera, fisheye distortion, recoil, and audio are the real difficulty. Use these tactics:

• Fire in 3-round bursts. Short bursts keep recoil manageable and keep follow-up shots accurate. Spraying looks tempting but wastes ammo and shakes your view.
• Always use cover. Fight from walls, concrete, crates, and rubble. Pop out, burst, and drop back. Solid concrete and metal containers are the safest; thin or destructible cover breaks fast.
• Clear rooms methodically. Do not sprint into open ground. Check corners, pre-aim doorways, and retreat to a doorway or wall if more than one enemy pushes you.
• Compensate for fisheye edges. Targets at the edge of the screen look shifted. Center them before firing, especially at range, and avoid long shots while moving.
• Listen before you peek. Footsteps, gunfire, and surface sounds reveal direction. Your own boots can be loud, so pause briefly to listen when entering a new area. Headphones help a lot.
• Reload safely. Reload with R as soon as you reach cover, even if the magazine is not empty. Reloading in the open during a wave is a common way to lose a good run.
• Move, then shoot. Strafe or sprint between positions, but plant briefly to aim down sights and fire. Crouching behind low rubble and leaning for a quick peek exposes less of you than walking straight around a corner.

If you keep dying in the same spot, change the approach: take the other doorway, use a different weapon range, or fall back to cover and let enemies come to you instead of chasing kills.
